BNB opens branch at Limegrove End – Barbados Business Authority – July 19, 2010

LIMEGROVE Lifestyle Centre in Holetown is being touted as a place for those with a passion for life.

Robert Le Hunte, Managing Director and CEO for BNB, said this while noting that the opening of the new BNB branch speaks to BNB’s passion for Barbadians and the bank’s customers.

Said Le Hunte,“This branch celebrates the continued expansion of BNB. Barbados National Bank (BNB) through its parent Republic Bank Limited (RBL) went about fulfilling the role they saw a national bank playing in our Caribbean society.” He explained that this was done by being responsive to the needs of the people of the country at the personal and commercial level, by being innovative, by being customer-focused and by being profitable. He added that the BNB is fulfilling its mandate and has decided to lead the way where no institution has chosen to go before, whether that arrow pointed in the direction of personal loans, infrastructure or corporate lending via the ABC Highway Project and a lot of corporate initiatives on both the West and South Coast and now, the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre. “We do this, not only because these projects are economically viable, but most importantly they are useful and essential to the continued success of Barbados,” he told the ceremony. He remarked, “The time is right for a facility such as this in Barbados.”

The BNB official pointed out that the project at Limegrove Lifestyle Centre speaks to a vision for the further development of Barbados. The concept dared to be different, something that attracted BNB, he said, while noting that the centre is expected to be the most stylish place to shop, dine and ‘lime’ for visitors and residents of Barbados. “This facility will combine residential and retail concepts with entertainment, medical facilities, wellness centre and banking facilities,” Le Hunte outlined. He proclaimed, “We are confident it will rival any community living in metropolitan countries around the world. It is the first of its kind in the Southern Caribbean and we are proud, not only to be partners in the development, but stakeholders in its success.”

The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre in Holetown, St. James, an Altman project, is expected to open its doors to the public by Christmas.
